In this five- day Journey, we explore some of what Jin Shin Jyutsu can offer us from an ever new and renewing not-knowing – the question mark “?” of “I wonder…”
In Mary Burmeister’s Self Help Book 2, she speaks of “escape from mental bondage”, and addresses the purpose of our study. Asking us to look at a possibility that the “Whole purpose of self-study…is to KNOW the inner freedom from my self-knowledge.” That most subtle tension that sprouts from human knowledge and may keep us prisoners of our thinking and beliefs. Perhaps from a place of not-knowing we can build a new foundation.
And how might we begin movement toward this goal? Is it a doing? Is it an achievement? Jin Shin Jyutsu through its weightlessness, simplicity and completeness is an excellent art to touch Heart to Heart.
What exactly is our Heart? What are the properties of the Heart? What are possibilities to apply this understanding in our Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions. How might this influence the Being of the receiver, the Being of the session and the Being of the giver? These five days will focus on how we use our hands, eyes, and Heart to enhance our practice of the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu. And in turn begin to experience how the practice may bring Oneness to the Listening of our Hands, the Seeing of our Eyes and the wisdom of our Heart. We will explore the qualities of Heart, the Fifth Depth, and the relationships among the Depths that enhance and support these qualities. Each day there will be opportunities to experience both Self-Help and hands-on practice – receiving two sessions each day and giving two sessions. Welcoming the Openness, you may temporarily be drawn to the halt of astonishment, and then continue your Journey of the Heart.
The world is on the edge of a fascinating period of waking, a time in which many structures struggle with their reason for existence. Everything becomes visible. How do we deal with the apparent chaos of these ever-new beginnings?
We are not less than joyful, and welcome you to join us in how effortless and timeless
joy can be.
The class is suitable for students who are already familiar with the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu and, also as an introduction for those who are interested in learning more about the Art.
